Spanning a period from 2005 to the present, Northbourne has, in Partnership with Midein, been involved with the acquisition of strategic sites in the UAE for redevelopment as offices in Dubai and a mixed use hotel resort scheme in the northern emirate of Umm Al Quwain. This project comprises two high rise residential towers with 1,820 flats, and a 408 bedroom 5 star hotel, where Northbourne in 2008 successfully negotiated the hotel contract with Millennium. The complex also accommodates a 400,000 sq ft retail mall, office block of 200,000 sq ft and a multi decked car park for 2,250 cars. Completion is scheduled for 2012 and approximately 1,200 flats have been pre-sold.
